YOU are responsible to know what the Bible has to say for your own salvation. I thank God that he provided men & women to preach The Word for "How can they hear without a preacher?" However, it is my responsibility to "rightly divide the word of truth". The Bible is a treasure & like any treasure its not left out in the open, its hidden. Sometimes treasure is hidden in the ground, sometimes in a vault, but its always hidden. The TRUTH is hidden in the Bible. Many times you can't read one verse & come to a conclusion. The definition of "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" is "line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little." (2 Timothy 2:15; Isaiah 28:10)
