About Us

Denee was born at the residence of her parents, Pastor James & Naomi Varnum. She sang her first song in church at the age of four. She recorded her first project at the age of 12. She recorded again at the age of 15, again when she was 19. She met Christian at a youth conference when she was 16 years old & she says, "I knew that we'd always be together." She did not know theirs would become a "romantic relationship", "I just knew we'd always be connected through music." Denee says. In 1993 Christian Richardson moved to Belleview, FL. Within 6 months They were engaged. They married April 16, 1994.

Christian's mother served as the music director in several Methodist churches until 1985 when the family began attending the First Pentecostal Church of Pentsacola. Though a "forced" piano student & an avid drummer in school Christian did not play any other instruments. Through the process of jamming with his new friends he began to learn to play the guitar & the bass soon followed. Christian felt a call to preach & soon after his arrival in Belleview and began to minister in the pulpit as well as with his various instruments. Today he is a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.

After an invitation to speak at a conference for young girls Denee began to feel a strong burden to equip young girls between the ages of 11-19. She started Hadassah @ Souls Harbor in 2004. She is often called to speak at various girls conferences across the United States & Canada.

Christian & Denee have a heart for families & foreign missions & feel that their music provides a platform for ministering to both of these venues. They have ministered in many countries in Europe & Asia.

After their own family, their greatest achivement is the achievements of their home church, Souls Harbor where they are the music directors, also responsible for new convert care. They write & teach many Bible studies that are available on this site.
